GRE (Graduate Record Examination)

The Graduate Record Examination (GRE) is usually a requirement for admissions, scholarships or assistantships at a graduate school. GRE scores are accepted in Master or doctoral programs in different field other than management. Graduate Record Examination (GRE) is required by most of the universities in the US for the admission at graduate level other than management study. Good GRE scores are one of the decisive factors of admissions at reputed American universities. GRE scores are highly important to win scholarships as well. It is a Computer Adaptive Test administered at USEF in Nepal. The test assesses student’s verbal, quantitative and analytical writing that are required for success at graduate level.

An information bulletin for GRE can be collected from USEF at Gyaneshwor. Students should register for the test online or by sending the application form and the test fee to the regional office of Sylvan Learning Center Malaysia. USEF in Nepal serves as test center only. Students can get more information at www.gre.org

The Academic Department at EC-MOD/ STUDY GROUP conducts preparation session for the GRE test takers. Three different instructors who have been educated in the USA or have deep understanding of writing expectations of American universities facilitate three sections of GRE preparation. The analytical writing section is conducted in the form of workshops where students participates in group writing activities and receive both peer feedback and teacher’s comments so that they could improve their writing skills. This course also runs for six weeks with two hours each day. Tutorials are offered from Monday to Friday.
